About this role
You will be part of a team to formulate and implement policies for national level healthcare manpower and education planning, to ensure adequate and timely manpower supply to support national healthcare strategies and new or existing service delivery models. You will be working in a dynamic environment that requires intellectual flexibility to innovate and manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time. You will be responsible for developing national-level manpower projections for key healthcare professions and putting in place processes to periodically refresh and review these projection models. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of healthcare programmes in Singapore, ensuring that the requisite training infrastructure, budget for clinical training and capabilities are developed to facilitate the intended ramp-up of healthcare programmes. You will work with diverse stakeholders across the healthcare and education sectors to translate manpower projections into policies, plans and strategies impacting the supply pipeline for healthcare professions. • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as business or healthcare • Prior experience in the policy making or healthcare industry • Training in statistics will be an advantage • Comfortable with data and statistics and research work • Good writing and communication skills • Meticulous and systematic • Strong analytical skill • Good interpersonal skills and team player Key Competencies Required: • Thinking Clearly & Making Sound Judgements – Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to support the crafting of sound policy recommendations; ability to grasp timelines, operating context and ground realities. • Learning & Putting Skills into Action - Possesses the drive and curiosity to learn and apply new skills, knowledge and new ways of working. • Improving & Innovating – Ability to seek continual improvements, and to innovate and experiment while managing the risks involved. • Working Effectively with Stakeholders – Ability to mobilise and rally partners and stakeholders towards a collective purpose.
