About this role
The Infrastructure Division at the Ministry of National Development (MND) is responsible for shaping policies to enable Singapore to develop world-class infrastructure and create a vibrant, resilient, liveable and sustainable Living Environment. You will work on issues that sit at the intersection of infrastructure, community needs and public policy — translating ground feedback and strategic priorities into practical upgrading initiatives that enhance estate accessibility, connectivity, safety and quality of life. You will also have the opportunity to work on key policy issues to transform the Built Environment Sector. For instance, CORENET X is a major transformation of Singapore’s building regulatory approval process, moving the industry towards a more coordinated, digital and integrated way of making regulatory submissions. This role offers the opportunity to shape policies and programmes that directly improve the living environment in Singapore’s private residential estates and to transform the Built Environment Sector. This includes programmes such as the Enhancement for Active Seniors (Private Housing) and the Estate Upgrading Programme, and policies relating to CORENET X. You will engage agencies and stakeholders, address both policy and operational issues, and help ensure that programmes are delivered effectively and responsibly. In doing so, you will gain exposure to end-to-end policymaking — from policy review and programme design to governance, communications and delivery — while contributing to visible outcomes that benefit Singapore and Singaporeans. Through your work, you will have the opportunity to translate strategic intent and objectives into policy moves and programmes, and work closely with the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and other stakeholders. The role is also well-suited for officers who enjoy policy work with a strong implementation focus. • A team player with strong interpersonal, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. • Organised, with excellent written and communications skills. • Basic data processing and visualisation skills (via MS Excel). • Experience in policymaking and/or inter-agency work would be advantageous.
