This is an individual contributor role in the Resourcing and Ecosystem (RE) Division of the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF). RE aims to cultivate a future-ready social service sector that delivers quality services, is well-resourced, and has high levels of community engagement and contribution. You will enable Singapore’s social service sector to achieve better outcomes by developing policies and plans that: · Encourage greater community support for social service agencies and social enterprises, e.g. through philanthropy, social impact investing, and volunteerism; · Strengthen the capabilities of social service agencies so that they can enhance service delivery and improve service outcomes, e.g. through technology adoption; · Safeguard the interests, safety, and well-being of individuals accessing social services; and · Establish and maintain strategic partnerships between the Government, businesses, community groups, and individuals to advance the interests of the social service sector. We are looking for an individual who can: · Think clearly and critically; · Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; · Rally diverse stakeholders together around a common goal; and · Take initiative, ownership of, and accountability for, their work. Prior experience and a strong interest in social issues, social sustainability, social impact investing, and / or public policy would be advantageous.
