RF Test Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented RF Test Technician to support the production testing and validation of RF and PCB assembly (PCA) modules used in VSAT and satellite communication systems. The role is responsible for executing RF and functional tests according to defined procedures, operating test equipment, and ensuring products meet quality and performance standards before shipment. This position supports manufacturing and test engineering activities in a production environment, following established processes and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Perform RF and functional testing of PCBAs, RF modules, Ku-band, Ka-band and VSAT communication units. Execute test procedures and work instructions in accordance with approved SOPs, test plans and quality standards. Conduct pass/fail testing based on defined specifications and limits. Perform basic measurements such as frequency, power level, gain, and signal continuity. Operate RF test equipment including Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer (VNA), Signal Generator, Power Meter, Oscilloscope, etc. Set up test benches and ensure proper calibration of equipment. Follow safety and ESD handling procedures. Support production line testing and troubleshooting of failed units. Identify and report basic faults or anomalies in RF modules or PCB assemblies. Assist in re-testing after rework or repair activities. Maintain proper labeling and tracking of tested units. Record test results accurately in test logs or MES systems. Report deviations or failures through defined escalation channels and quality reporting systems. Maintain test records and ensure traceability of tested products. Support routine calibration and maintenance of RF test equipment. Ensure test setups are clean, organized, and functioning correctly. Report equipment issues promptly. Qualifications & Experience: Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field. 1–3 years of experience in electronics testing or production environment preferred. Experience in RF testing, PCB testing, or telecommunications products is an advantage. Basic understanding of RF principles (frequency, power, gain, signal behavior). Ability to operate RF test instruments (spectrum analyzer, VNA, signal generator). Ability to read test procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation. Basic understanding of PCB assemblies and electronic components. Familiarity with ESD-safe handling practices. Experience in VSAT, satellite communications, telecom equipment, or RF modules. Exposure to production testing. Basic troubleshooting experience in electronics manufacturing. Competencies: Attention to detail and accuracy in test execution. Strong discipline in following procedures. Ability to work in a production environment with deadlines. Good communication with engineers and production teams.
