About this role

Our Department is responsible for the internal control and governance for Mizuho’s APAC region. We are currently driving a large-scale core banking program across APAC, and our team plays a central role in delivery and overall program / project management. As this is a major transformation, we must also manage customer impact appropriately. We are therefore seeking a Managing Director to lead this area. Your key roles & responsibilities include: Follow the policy & direction of the department and to assist superiors in accomplishing the department’s overall duties and responsibilities. Lead the management of customer impacts arising from the large-scale transformation, working closely with program / project stakeholders and front-office teams. Provide cross-functional project management across Head Office, the APAC Head Office, and overseas offices, particularly in the area of AML compliance. Coordinate a wide variety of stakeholders, including related systems and users, to promote regional large-scale projects and ensure alignment with both system architecture and business strategy. Track the project progress and issues, report them to senior management in a timely manner, and resolve issues by involving relevant parties. Negotiate with relevant parties to manage requirements, secure project objectives and timelines, and avoid budget overruns. Strengthen the Asia-Pacific region’s capability for project promotion through training, increasing resources, etc. Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement among broader project members and related stakeholders. What you should have: A Bachelor’s Degree. At least 20 years of relevant experience in the banking industry. Proven experience and stakeholder management skills in controlling customer impacts.
