Apac Core Banking / Data Platform Architect

Job Responsibilities 1) Data Platform & Enterprise Architecture Leadership Define and execute the APAC data platform architecture strategy, aligned with global priorities and regulatory/local market requirements. Architect scalable, secure, future-ready data platforms that support business change and modernization outcomes. Integrate and modernize legacy systems and disparate data sources into unified, trusted data ecosystems enabling analytics, AI/ML, and GenAI. Drive adoption of open systems and standard architectures to improve agility, interoperability, and resilience. 2) Delivery Management & Execution (Architecture-through-Delivery) Be accountable for successful delivery of a regional data platform, including day-to-day coordination and delivery oversight. Partner with sponsors/stakeholders to define goals, deliverables, and acceptance criteria. Support requirements/backlog prioritization, user stories, and alignment ceremonies (stand-ups, showcases/POCs, SteerCo, working groups). Create and deliver against detailed project plans; track dependencies, manage delivery risks, and ensure timely execution. Manage budgets/forecasts and oversee external vendors/data providers. 3) Governance & Stakeholder Engagement Establish and embed architecture principles, standards, and governance, ensuring enterprise-wide alignment. Chair/lead architecture forums as needed and provide strategic oversight for significant technology programs. Build strong relationships across regional/country technology leadership, product, delivery teams, external vendors, and Head Office (Japan). Drive architecture advocacy via workshops and knowledge sharing across business and technology communities. 4) Engineering Excellence (Quality, Simplicity, Performance) Apply strong software engineering practices: code profiling/optimization, debugging complex issues, and choosing appropriate languages/paradigms.
