Job Description The Social Worker / Case Worker operates directly within the field of social work. The successful candidate will be qualified and trained to provide interventions and programmes, perform community development work, and uplift professional social work practices. This role involves conducting casework and group work, as well as implementing and evaluating community development activities to address service gaps in the community. The individual will work in close collaboration with other agencies and ministries, and provide guidance and supervision to subordinates. Job Responsibilities Casework Conduct comprehensive needs and intake assessments. Implement structured case plans, care plans, and strategic interventions. Prepare professional social reports. Maintain accurate case notes and comprehensive documentation. Perform detailed case and care planning alongside collaborative goal setting. Review ongoing casework interventions for continuous improvement. Conduct formal closure of cases upon achieving sustainable service outcomes for clients, families, and communities. Group Work Review group work interventions and programmes for effectiveness and improvement. Facilitate group work interventions and programmes under structured supervision. Support the strategic planning of upcoming group work interventions and programmes. Community Development Work Collaborate with external agencies to effectively pool community resources. Conduct environmental scans and community need assessments. Review community development initiatives for future improvements. Implement assigned community development initiatives. Support the end-to-end design and development of community initiatives. Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships Build strong rapport and professional relationships with clients and significant others. Actively participate in cross-disciplinary social work practices. Uplift of Professional Practice Participate in research initiatives to uplift the broader professional practice of social work. Respond efficiently to crisis situations based on the organisation's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Qualifications & Requirements Educational Qualifications Possess a Degree in Social Work, a Degree with a Graduate Diploma in Social Work, or a relevant degree in Social Sciences/related disciplines (e.g., Psychology) from an accredited institution. Relevant Experience Prior experience working as a social worker is highly advantageous. Accreditation as a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW) is a distinct advantage.
