Duties & Responsibilities Lead and oversee the daily operations of the nursing department. Plan and manage nursing manpower, roster planning, and staff deployment. Ensure timely nursing assessments, care planning, and interventions. Oversee medication management and clinical documentation. Monitor residents' health and coordinate referrals with medical practitioners and hospitals. Develop, review, and implement nursing policies, procedures, and SOPs. Ensure compliance with MSF requirements, licensing standards, and organisational policies. Conduct nursing, medication, and infection control audits. Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions. Lead Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff. Identify learning needs and facilitate staff development. Work closely with social workers, counsellors, and allied health professionals. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and external stakeholders. Prepare reports for management, audits, and inspections. Manage nursing equipment and medical consumables. Prepare and submit reports to senior management and regulatory authorities. Contribute to strategic planning and service development in nursing operations. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management in support of the Home’s objectives. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field. Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB). Minimum 5–7 years of relevant nursing experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of geriatric/eldercare nursing, nursing standards, and healthcare regulations. Prior experience in eldercare or nursing home setting is preferred. Basic knowledge of patient care and nursing practices. Confident in performing personal care, wound dressing, and safe resident transfers. Good communication skills to interact with residents, staff, and visitors. Able to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision. Compassionate, physically fit, and resilient in challenging care situations. Comfortable handling wounds, body fluids, and other clinical tasks. Willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
