The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), which is under the College of Engineering, aspires to be a leading school for Sustainable Urban Systems. Currently, it has over 50 faculty members and more than 1,500 students, and is rapidly expanding its range of educational and research activities. The School offers the following three programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels: Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering and maritime Studies. The faculty in the School has led major university-wide strategic research thrusts in space creation, water research and sustainable built environment. Going forward, we would like to strengthen our research and education capabilities in the areas related to maritime studies. The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, invites outstanding faculty to apply for the position of Adjunct Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering. The successful appointee will advance in CEE’s research and teaching in maritime studies related areas. The successful appointee will be expected to: Conduct lectures to undergraduate and postgraduate students Conduct Public lectures, seminars for research students and industry practitioners Engage in discussions with CEE faculty and research staff on research collaboration in international conferences, publications, and research proposals on maritime areas such as maritime management, maritime logistics, maritime safety, maritime decarbonization and digitalization. Visiting Professor appointments are extended to distinguished professors or researchers with recognised expertise and strong collaborative ties with the School. Candidates are expected to Possess a strong track record in maritime management and logistics demonstrated by impactful publications, high citation metrics, and international recognition. Demonstrate leadership in major research programmes and foster cross-institutional and international collaborations, particularly in areas of strategic importance to the School. Show evidence of excellence in postgraduate education through supervision, mentorship, and the development of advanced-level teaching modules. Contribute meaningfully to the School’s academic mission through joint research, student supervision, curriculum innovation, and international outreach.
