Research Fellow (Materials Chemistry/Catalysis)

The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow. The Research Fellow is required to spearhead a project involving advanced materials and membrane technologies, from materials synthesis, characterization, membrane fabrication, investigation of separation performances, AI-assisted analysis, and presentation of research results. The Research Fellow will take on a significant role in performing experimental work, data analysis, simulation studies, drafting reports and publications, and supporting project-related administrative duties. The candidate is also expected to contribute to the training of graduate and undergraduate students, coordination of collaborations, and presentation of research progress. Key Responsibilities: Conduct literature review related to materials development, membrane technology, electrodialysis, AI-assisted analysis, and simulation studies. Design, synthesize, fabricate, and characterize functional materials and membranes. Perform separation experiments and evaluate membrane performance. Carry out data analysis, AI-assisted analysis, modelling, and/or simulation studies. Draft reports and scientific publications. Train graduate and undergraduate students. Administrative duties such as purchase of chemicals and consumables, coordination of collaborations, and presentations of research progress. Job Requirements: Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Experience in materials synthesis, characterization, and membrane fabrication.
