Senior Legal Counsel | Shipping / Maritime | 5+ PQE | Singapore (CL-OC-19) About the company Our client is a leading player in a complex international business with strong exposure to the offshore, marine and broader maritime sector. The role This is a broad in-house legal role supporting the legal team across commercial, operational and strategic matters, with a stronger emphasis on shipping, maritime and cross-border business issues. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders on contracts, disputes, compliance and operational legal support. Key responsibilities Draft, review and negotiate commercial, procurement and maritime-related agreements Support legal matters arising from day-to-day operations, cross-border business activities and new initiatives Advise on disputes, litigation and regulatory matters, including management of external counsel Support on corporate, restructuring, JV and other strategic business matters Strengthen legal processes, templates and internal documentation Provide advice on compliance, governance and regulatory issues across the business Requirements At least 5 years’ PQE Trained in a reputable law firm and/or gained relevant in-house experience Strong experience in shipping, maritime, international trade or offshore / marine legal work Experience in commercial contracts and disputes Prior exposure to port, vessel, offshore, logistics or marine-related operations would be advantageous Commercially minded, practical and able to work independently with stakeholders across the business Claire Lin Xiuxin Co-Founder | 2Nats (Nat & Nat Search Pte Ltd) Whatsapp Messaging: +65 8892 1316 | Email: claire@2nats.com Website: https://2nats.com/ Linkedin: linkedin.com/in/clairelinxx/ EA Licence No.: R1103711
