About this role
The National Research Foundation (NRF) is a department within the Prime Minister's Office, and we set the national direction for research, innovation and enterprise (RIE) by developing policies, plans and strategies; funding strategic initiatives that strengthen our scientific and technological capabilities, grow our RIE talent base, and achieve economic and national impact; and fostering RIE collaboration in Singapore and internationally. As Temporary Officer, Events Management & Communications, you will provide support to and coordination for event operations and event management to meet the expectations of NRF and its flagship events, seminars and official visits for example GYSS, PSTA and CREATE Symposium. Your responsibilities include: • Assist Events Management Unit in coordinating local and overseas events, meetings, stakeholder engagements and official visits; • Support the planning, coordination and execution of NRF flagship events, seminars, official visits and stakeholder engagement activities; • Support event logistics, registration management, stakeholder coordination, secretariat support and onsite event operations; • Support the preparation of event materials, briefing documents, reports and post-event administrative follow-up; • Maintain Events Management Unit databases, departmental filing and procured IT systems; • Participate in ad hoc initiatives and projects as assigned; • Support the preparation and coordination of event-related communications materials, including event briefs, programme information, website content updates and stakeholder communications; • Assist in maintaining event-related content and information across NRF's digital platforms and internal communication channels where required. • Support senior management and Chairman engagements, official visits and stakeholder meetings, including preparation of briefing materials, administrative coordination and follow-up actions. • Background in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Business Administration, Communications or related field is preferred; • Minimum 2 years of experience in events administration, event operations or a related field; • Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities; • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; • Good stakeholder management and collaborative working skills; and • Ability to multi-task and work effectively as part of a team.
