Role Summary We are seeking a hands-on Platform Infrastructure Engineer to support the operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise container platforms and shared infrastructure services. In this role, you will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of mission-critical platforms supporting enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities Manage Day 2 operations for container platforms, middleware, databases, and shared infrastructure services. Install, configure, patch, and maintain Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Podman, and enterprise COTS products. Support and administer platforms including MongoDB, Microsoft SQL Server, Apache, NGINX, IBM MQ, Kafka, ArcGIS, and Keycloak. Monitor platform health, troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and optimise platform performance. Execute platform upgrades, patching, backup, disaster recovery, and lifecycle management activities. Collaborate with application, DevOps, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to support deployments and resolve technical issues. Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability tools to improve platform reliability and operational visibility. Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and automation scripts to enhance operational efficiency. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. 3–5 years of experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Enterprise Systems Administration. Strong hands-on experience with Linux (RHEL), Windows Server, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Docker/Podman, and VMware. Experience administering enterprise middleware and COTS platforms such as MongoDB, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM MQ, Apache, NGINX, Kafka, ArcGIS, and Keycloak. Familiarity with Ansible, GitLab, Grafana, Prometheus, backup and recovery, and ITIL processes. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications RHCSA/RHCE, VMware VCP, or MongoDB Administrator certifications. Experience supporting infrastructure in government or other highly regulated environments. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and platform security best practices.
