Safety Officer

Responsible for supporting Management in the HSE Policy and Guidelines, HSE Management System Responsible for the implementation, updating, review and auditing of the Company HSE Systems in alignment with the Corporate HSE guidelines. Responsible for the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures in line with industry norms and legislation. Responsible for the overall management of company resources in the effective and efficient running of safety operations at the workplace. Responsible for supporting the Contracts, Engineering, Human Resources and Operations Departments in the areas of HSE aspects. Responsible for carrying out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends/ gaps/risks etc and formulating/communicating on improvements. Responsible for carrying out in-house safety trainings/workshops. Responsible as a key point of contact and liaison with Clients, authorities and other stakeholders on safety related issues. Responsible for preparation of Health and Safety documentation for new tenders and preparation of plans for the projects. Responsible for all aspects of HSE including supervision on the Bachelor’s Degree and/or Diploma in Science/Engineering or equivalent with additional professional qualifications in Health, Safety & Environment Registered Officer with the Ministry of Manpower (Specialist Diploma in HSE). Work experience of 5 years or more in Health, Safety and Environment in the relevant process plant/ construction /petro-chemical fields), of with at least 5 years. Preferably good knowledge in Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems, Environmental Discharges, Incident Command System, Incident Investigation by using the right tools/methods, HSE Auditing Techniques and other safety related aspects.
