Job Title: QA / QC Inspector Monthly Salary: UP to $4,000 Working Address: Tuas Basin Link Working Hours: 8.30am to 6pm Responsibilities and duties The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all equipment meets the company’s quality standards throughout the entire product lifecycle. This role oversees quality assurance and quality control activities from incoming inspection of materials and components, through fabrication and assembly, to final inspection and outgoing shipment. The QA/QC Inspector works closely with Procurement, Production, Engineering, and Logistics to maintain compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards. Key Responsibilities: • Inspect incoming materials, components, and equipment against purchase specifications, drawings, and quality requirements. • Verify supplier documentation, certificates of conformity, calibration certificates, and inspection reports. • Identify, document, and quarantine non-conforming materials. • Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve quality issues. • Maintain accurate incoming inspection records. • Perform routine inspections throughout fabrication, assembly, and servicing processes. • Ensure products are assembled and tested according to approved work instructions, engineering drawings, and quality procedures. • Report and investigate defects and implement corrective actions with relevant departments. • Conduct final inspection before shipment. • Ensure all customer requirements and quality standards are met prior to release. • Maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection records, checklists, and quality reports. • Support implementation and continual improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS). • Participate in internal audits and assist during external audits such as ISO 9001. • Monitor calibration status of inspection and test equipment. • Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). • Perform visual, dimensional, mechanical and electrical inspections where applicable. • Coordinate calibration and certification activities with approved laboratories or service providers. • Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and customer or third-party witness inspections when required. Qualification and Requirements • Diploma or Technical Certificate in Quality Management, or a related field. • Minimum 2-5 years of QA/QC inspection experience in manufacturing, marine industries. • Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001. • Knowledge of inspection tools, measuring instruments, and calibration processes. • Ability to read engineering drawings, technical specifications, and assembly documentation. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and quality documentation. • Good analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. • Ability to work independently as well as within a cross-functional team. • Experience with supplier quality management and vendor inspection. • Strong attention to detail. • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement. • Ability to prioritize multiple inspection activities in a fast-paced environment.
