Tooling Mechanic

The Tooling Mechanic is responsible for the operation, inspection, maintenance, repair, testing, mobilisation, and refurbishment of ROV tooling and offshore decommissioning equipment to ensure operational readiness, reliability, and compliance with company and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on ROV tooling, hydraulic systems, and offshore decommissioning equipment. Inspect, test, assemble, and prepare equipment for mobilisation and offshore operations. Diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults and carry out repairs in accordance with OEM specifications and company procedures. Maintain equipment service records, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (QHSSE) requirements. Support offshore operations, mobilisation, demobilisation, and field service activities as required. Maintain workshop housekeeping standards and ensure tools and equipment are kept in good working condition. Requirements Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of ROV tooling and offshore decommissioning equipment. Proven experience servicing hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems used in subsea and offshore operations. Experience with equipment such as hydraulic cutters, diamond wire saws, dredging systems, lifting equipment, hydraulic power units (HPUs), and other subsea intervention tools is highly desirable. Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals. Strong troubleshooting skills with a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence. Willingness to travel offshore and support vessel-based operations when required.
