Manufacturing Operations Executive (Precision Machining)

We are an AS9100-certified precision engineering company serving the aerospace, automation and high-technology industries. We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Manufacturing Operations Executive to take ownership of our daily machine shop operations and ensure production runs efficiently. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the machine shop. Spend the majority of your time on the shop floor, monitoring production progress and supporting the team - not behind a desk. Conduct regular walkabouts to ensure jobs are progressing according to schedule and identify issues before they become delays. Coordinate with machinists, QC, purchasing and management to keep production running smoothly. Ensure materials, tooling, fixtures and consumables are available before production starts. Monitor production schedules and resolve bottlenecks. Maintain a clean, organised and audit-ready machine shop through effective 5S practices. Oversee tooling organisation, machine shop consumables, cleaning supplies and general housekeeping. Coordinate machine shop maintenance and ensure equipment and common areas are well maintained. Update production records and support continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on operational role. You are expected to be actively present on the shop floor, engaging with the production team and ensuring smooth daily operations.
