Job Purpose To ensure that the product is successful by aligning it with business goals, user needs, and technical feasibility. To drive ideation, process improvements and enhancements Manage and support the company’s various initiatives in Digitalisation & Transformation Collaborate with the different stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration to the company’s strategies and related applications Primary Job Description (Describe the major duties of this position) Defining and Articulating the Product Vision and Strategy: Translating business goals and user needs into a clear product vision and strategy. This involves understanding the organization's objectives, identifying user needs and pain points, and crafting a compelling vision that aligns these elements. Defining the target business domain, product positioning, and key features. Communicating the product vision and strategy to stakeholders. This involves engaging with stakeholders, including executives and team members, to ensure alignment for the product direction. Managing the Product Backlog and Prioritizing Features: Gathering and analyzing user feedback, market trends, and competitive insights to identify product opportunities. This involves conducting user research, monitoring industry trends, and analyzing competitor offerings to uncover areas for improvement and innovation. Prioritizing product features based on their impact on business objectives, user needs, and technical feasibility. This involves evaluating each feature based on its potential return on investment, user value, and technical complexity to determine its priority in the development roadmap. Managing the product backlog, grooming and refining user stories and acceptance criteria. This involves maintaining a prioritized list of product features, ensuring that user stories are clear, concise, and measurable, and refining acceptance criteria to define clear success metrics. Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams: Working closely with the development team to ensure features are implemented according to specifications. This involves providing detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and mockups to guide development efforts and ensuring technical feasibility. Collaborating with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to align product development with overall business goals. This involves coordinating with various departments to ensure that the product aligns with marketing campaigns, sales channels, and engineering capabilities. Facilitating communication and resolving conflicts between teams, ensuring seamless product development. This involves fostering open communication, addressing concerns promptly, and mediating disputes to maintain a productive and collaborative environment. Monitoring Product Performance and Measuring Success: Establishing product success metrics and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs). This involves defining metrics such as user engagement and user satisfaction to measure product effectiveness. Serving as the Voice of the User: Advocating for the user's needs throughout the product development process. This involves representing the user's perspective, ensuring that their needs are considered in design decisions, and championing user-centric solutions. Gathering and analyzing user feedback to ensure the product meets their expectations. This involves collecting feedback through various channels, such as surveys, interviews, and support interactions, to understand user pain points and satisfaction levels. Communicating user needs and pain points to the development team to prioritize solutions. This involves sharing user feedback with the development team to ensure that their priorities align with the most pressing user needs and concerns. Position Qualifications and Experiences Experience Requirements: 5+ years of experience in product development or a related field. Experience in Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban. Experience in prioritizing and managing a product backlog. Experience in working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing.
