General Manager - Dementia Day Care Centre

About Us Oval Care Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based start-up building a dedicated day care centre for individuals living with mild to moderate dementia. The Role As our founding General Manager, you will be the operational heart of Oval Care. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take ownership of everything from day-to-day centre operations to regulatory compliance and team development. This is not a caretaker role — it is a builder role. You will shape how we operate, who we hire, and how we show up for our clients and their families. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage all centre operations to ensure safe, high-quality, person-centred dementia care • Drive MOH Day Care Centre licensing processes and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance • Contribute to premise selection and set-up of the physical centre environment • Recruit, onboard, and develop a multi disciplinary care team • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients’ families and referral partners • Develop and implement operational policies, care protocols, and staff training frameworks • Manage centre budgets and report operational performance to the CEO • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, vendors, and community partners Requirements Essential • Proven experience managing healthcare facilities or operations • Strong working knowledge of senior care best practices and person-centred approaches • Familiarity with MOH licensing and compliance requirements for senior day care services • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Advantageous • Proven experience managing or leading a dementia day care centre in Singapore • Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) • Direct experience navigating MOH Day Care Centre license applications • Background in occupational therapy, social work, or related allied health disciplines • Prior experience in a start-up or new centre launch context What We Offer • Competitive market salary commensurate with experience with an attractive stock option plan • Meaningful ground-floor opportunity — shape the culture, team, and operations of a new centre • Direct access to and collaboration with the CEO • A workplace that genuinely values its people and the clients it serves • Room to grow as the organisation grows How to Apply Send your CV and a brief cover letter (no more than one page) telling us why dementia care matters to you and what you would bring to Oval Care, to ovalcaresg@gmail.com .
