Java Backend Developer

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend applications for large-scale digital transformation projects. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices. Work with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL databases. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, QA, and DevOps engineers. Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support. Follow secure coding practices and software development best practices. Required Skills 3–5 years of experience in Java backend development. Strong experience with Java 8/11/17 and Spring Boot. Hands-on experience with REST APIs and Microservices. Experience with SQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Skills Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is an advantage. Preferred Experience Experience delivering projects for the Singapore Public Sector, Government Agencies, or Government-Linked Organizations (GLOs) is highly preferred. Familiarity with Singapore Government ICT standards, security practices, and project delivery methodologies is an advantage.
