Designation : Repair Production Engineer Working Hours & Days : 8 am – 5 pm, Monday - Friday Work Location : 202 Bedok South Ave 1 #02-13 Singapore 469332 _______________________________________________________________________________________ Important Note: Please read the full Job Responsibilities & Requirements very carefully before deciding whether you have the skills, knowledge, and experience that we are looking for (as stated below). _______________________________________________________________________________________ JOB SUMMARY: We are looking fora Repair Production Engineer who can develop Level 3 repair recipes and troubleshooting procedures for repair technicians performing board-level repairs. The candidate MUST HAVE strong practical knowledge of analog anddigital electronics, including the ability to interpret schematics, datasheets,and signal flow for fault isolation. Hands-on experience in circuit design,board-level troubleshooting, soldering, and rework is essential. The role requires an independent and methodical individual who can manage multiple troubleshooting activities in parallel and communicate effectively with repair technicians to implement practical repair solutions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: · Process and Product Improvement: Identify, plan, deploy, and monitor product and process improvements toeliminate quality defects and enhance delivery performance. This includes reviewing design/engineering change documents and evaluating test procedures,measurement points, as well as tooling and equipment, to ensure maintenance is performed efficiently across all products. · Documentation and Standardization: Support,create, and refine existing repair documentation to ensure consistency among technicians and improve overall process efficiency. Standardize repair and troubleshooting methods to ensure that work is performed in the most efficient,accurate, and cost-effective manner. Perform Work Factor analysis to further enhance operational procedures. · Technological Enhancement and Support: Collaborate with shop technicians to improve bench test capabilities and create test alternatives. Design jigs and job aids to enhance productivity and ensure high-quality repair outcomes. · Design Collaboration and Analysis: Work with design engineers to resolve design problems during and post-product introduction. Perform statistical analysis onproduct failures, identify trends, and provide feedback to design engineering to minimize the company’s warranty expenses. Troubleshoot and analyze the root causes of system anomalies or discrepancies in both hardware and software. · Continuous Improvement and Training: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leading training sessions for technicians on new repair techniques andtechnologies. Foster a culture of lean manufacturing and continuous learning within the team to keep pace with industry advancements and maintain competitive edge. KEY QUALIFICATIONS: · Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering,Avionics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field froman accredited institution. · Min. of 5 years of relevant experience in avionics repair or a closely related field is required. Experience should include hands-oninvolvement in the design, troubleshooting, and repair of avionic systems and components. · Ability to travel to domestic or international locations as required, up to 10% of thetime. · Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. KEY KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Strong ability to read and understand analog and digital circuits using schematics, block diagrams, and datasheets Experience in actual circuit design , not only theoretical understanding or project management. Ability to analyze data using Excel or SQL. Efficiently, identify likely board-level repair opportunities based on statistics and failure modes. Strong troubleshooting skills for electronic assemblies down to the board and component level Hands-on soldering and rework experience, including component replacement on PCB assemblies. Ability to write repair instructions in user friendly manners for repair technicians. Strong foundation in Industrial Engineering. A high degree of understanding of aircraft terms and design requirements, along with familiarity with avionics design.
