Job ID: 20277 Location: West Working hours: 9am - 6pm Salary: up to $12,000 (Depending on experiences) Job Description The Finance Lead will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of finance and accounting activities for the Singapore entity while supporting regional reporting requirements and overseas operations. This role goes beyond traditional accounting responsibilities and requires close collaboration with senior management, overseas offices, external auditors, and professional advisors. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening financial processes, enhancing reporting structures, and supporting the company's regional growth initiatives. As the organization continues to grow, the role may also expand to cover broader corporate functions, including HR and administration. Key Responsibilities Finance & Accounting - Manage the full spectrum of accounting and finance operations, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities - Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with local accounting standards - Oversee tax compliance and statutory reporting requirements - Coordinate and manage external audit processes - Monitor cash flow and treasury activities - Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements Group Reporting & Corporate Governance - Prepare regular financial reports for the Japan headquarters - Support group consolidation and reporting requirements - Coordinate responses to requests from the parent company - Assist in strengthening corporate governance and internal control frameworks - Consolidate and coordinate corporate and administrative information required by the parent company Regional Subsidiary Management - Liaise with finance teams for other countries - Review and analyze subsidiary financial performance and reporting - Support regional financial management and reporting activities - Travel to overseas offices when required to support finance operations and business initiatives Finance Process Improvement - Collaborate with external accounting advisors and auditors to enhance revenue recognition and cost allocation processes - Improve financial visibility and reporting accuracy for project-based software development activities - Establish and strengthen finance processes, internal controls, and reporting frameworks - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to support business growth and operational efficiency Financial Planning & Business Support - Lead budgeting and forecasting activities - Drive the preparation of medium-term business plans - Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management - Support strategic decision-making through business performance analysis - Participate in the development of financial infrastructure to support future regional expansion Job Requirement Mandatory • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience • Hands-on experience managing the full set of accounts and end-to-end financial closing processes • Experience working in a Japanese company or Japanese corporate environment • Business-level Japanese language proficiency (both written and spoken) to liaise with Japanese speaking counterparts in Japan HQ • Business-level English communication skills to liaise with English speaking counterparts in Singapore and other subsidiaries • Experience working in Southeast Asia or other international environments • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills • Ability to work independently and remain hands-on in day-to-day operations • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities Preferred • Experience working with overseas subsidiaries or regional operations • Experience in the IT, software development, or project-based services industry • Experience in management reporting, budgeting, and FP&A • Exposure to business transformation, or process improvement projects • Experience supporting group consolidation reporting *Please note that direct consolidation experience is not mandatory.
