Field Service Engineer

Job Title: Field Service Engineer Reports to: Regional Service Manager Business Unit: Service Delivery Location: Singapore Direct Reports: No Overview Reporting to the Regional Service Manager, this role is based in Singapore and may involve occasional work traveling within the countries in SEA whenever needed. This role will also support the Sales Department closely when requested, for sales/customer requirements. The Field Service Technician will be primarily responsible for the delivery of world-class services towards Peak’s customers and providing technical support to Peak’s business channels. A self-motivated and disciplined person who’s able to exercise thorough analytical thought processes in his field and attention to details. The candidate should exhibit traits in customer’s expectation management as well as a sound knowledge of Office based programmes. Duties and Responsibilities Liaison with back office for delivering stock management Carry out routine maintenance and installations as well as general support in a professional, prompt and efficient manner to ensure total customer satisfaction · Respond effectively and professionally to all customer requests for service and support (telephone and e-mails) · Provide customers and head office with a concise, accurate and detailed service report for all work(s) carried out · Maintain and replenish personal van stock of parts and carry out inventory checks as requested · Prioritizing safety for self and others · Ensure an effective liaison with other PEAK departments (sales, marketing, logistics, engineering and production) to ensure a high level of communication and co-operation for all aspects of customer and product support · Inform Regional Service Manager, Technical Service Supervisor and Technical Manager of all serious customer complaints and escalations. · Take the initiative to continually enhance and develop knowledge and understanding of the complete product range · Provide a high level of service and technical advice for PEAK Scientific customers, OEM, distributors and internal staff · Follow-up promptly on requirements specified by Regional Service Manager · To support service delivery in the region occasionally Experience · Experience of maintaining pressure systems and transportable gases in a similar or related industry will be an advantage. · Some knowledge of electronics, hydraulic and mechanical systems Intermediate knowledge of MS Office products is essential, other systems training will be provided Field service delivery Skills and Qualifications Teamwork – able to build relationships High levels of attention to details Timely follow-up Self-motivation with the capacity to plan time effectively and prioritise Resilience – remains effective in the face of pressure · Self-motivation, self-disciplined and the ability to work with minimal supervision. · Good practical skills and a methodical approach to resolving problems · Exhibit good sense in thought process on technical issues · Good communication and interpersonal skills · Good understanding of general and country Health and Safety · Language skills – Technical English · Possess valid country driving license · Willingness to travel on short notices At Peak we target individuals who fit our culture and values.
