About the Company Our client is a well‑established, leading construction and civil engineering contractor with a strong track record in delivering large‑scale, complex building projects across Singapore. They are currently seeking an experienced Deputy Project Manager to support the delivery of a high‑rise mixed‑use development (Residential + Hospitality) located in the CBD area. About the Role Reporting to the Project Manager, the Deputy Project Manager will support the overall site execution , with particular responsibility for construction planning, coordination of site activities, subcontractor management, and progress control . The role requires a hands‑on individual with strong technical knowledge and the ability to manage complex site conditions typical of high‑rise CBD projects. Key Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager in managing overall site progress, manpower planning, and daily construction operations . Prepare and maintain the master construction programme , including catch‑up and recovery programmes when required. Plan and manage site access, logistics, and site setup at different construction stages, including tower crane erection, climbing, and dismantling planning . Review construction drawings to identify discrepancies and buildability issues prior to work commencement and coordinate with the technical team and consultants to resolve them. Assist in preliminaries planning, budgeting, and cost control , including monitoring progress against cost reports. Manage and coordinate subcontractors , ensuring works are carried out in accordance with approved programme, drawings, and method statements. Participate in detailed planning of all site works, including: > Construction methodologies > Programme scheduling > Equipment, material, and manpower forecasting > Control of material usage and minimisation of wastage Liaise with consultants (architects, engineers) and attend regular coordination and progress meetings. Oversee quality control, inspections, and implementation of health & safety requirements on site. Identify potential and ongoing issues affecting site progress and recommend practical solutions to mitigate delays. Maintain effective working relationships with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal project teams. Ensure strict adherence to workplace safety regulations and company safety standards at all times. Support the Project Manager in driving timely completion of key project milestones. Requirements Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university. Minimum 8 years of relevant construction experience , preferably in high‑rise residential, mixed‑use, or hospitality developments . Experience completing at least one full construction cycle with a project value of SGD 150 million and above . Strong understanding of end‑to‑end construction processes , site operations, and construction methodologies. Good knowledge of method statements, site access planning, and site setup for high‑rise projects . Able to read, interpret, and coordinate drawings to resolve site and construction issues effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Project with experience in construction planning and progress tracking. Strong interpersonal, coordination, and problem‑solving skills. Able to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure site environment.
