About this role
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer to deploy, administer, automate, and support enterprise Linux infrastructure across cloud, virtualised, and physical data centre environments. The successful candidate will support mission-critical systems, with a strong focus on RHEL/Linux administration, infrastructure automation, monitoring, security compliance, performance optimisation, and platform reliability. Key Responsibilities: Deploy, configure, patch, harden, and maintain RHEL/Linux servers. Administer systems across development, testing, production, and disaster recovery environments. Perform Linux troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity planning, and vulnerability remediation. Automate provisioning, configuration, and patching using Ansible, Bash, and Python. Support cloud and virtual infrastructure and participate in proof-of-concept activities. Monitor infrastructure using tools such as Zabbix and resolve system performance or availability issues. Use BigFix for patch deployment, software distribution, endpoint management, and compliance reporting. Support high-availability and disaster recovery configurations. Provide Level 3 support and perform root-cause analysis for infrastructure incidents. Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and operational runbooks. Participate in 24x7 standby and on-call support when required. Requirements: Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum five years of experience in Linux, cloud operations, or infrastructure engineering. Strong hands-on experience with RHEL/Linux, including LVM, networking, patching, and kernel tuning. Experience with Ansible and shell scripting; familiarity with Python. Experience supporting large-scale, production-critical environments. Working knowledge of Zabbix and BigFix. Understanding of security hardening, CIS benchmarks, and vulnerability remediation. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift is an advantage. Red Hat certification such as RHCSA or RHCE is preferred. Banking or financial services experience is preferred. Knowledge of MAS TRM Guidelines and PCI-DSS requirements is an advantage. Willingness to provide after-hours, standby, and on-call support.
