Information Technology Consultant

The project is to provide production support and to manage BAU operations. To ensure availability, stability, security, and cost efficiency of virtual infrastructure environments (VMware, Esxi). To help the application teams, platform engineering team, etc., in BAU operations, resolve incidents, and continuously improve cloud operations. Perform administration and support of HPE servers, HPE OneView, server provisioning, hardware monitoring, and firmware management. datastores, and storage resources. Monitor infrastructure health, performance, capacity, and availability using VMware monitoring tools. Support VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS environments. Support Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request processes in accordance with ITIL practices. Perform routine health checks, preventive maintenance, capacity planning, and operational reporting. Implement VMware security hardening, compliance controls, vulnerability remediation, and operational best practices. Develop operational documentation, SOPs, and runbooks, and utilize PowerShell/PowerCLI for automation and administrative tasks. Good to Have: Knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), VMware Aria Operations and VMware Aria Automation. Requirements: 7+ years of experience in managing and supporting VMware vSphere, Esxi, vCenter, HA, DRS, and virtual infrastructure environments. Provision, configure, and maintain virtual machines, templates, snapshots. Strong troubleshooting skills with VM, host, cluster, storage, networking and hardware-related issues. Experience in patching, firmware upgrades, and lifecycle management activities for VMware and supporting infrastructure.
