Victim Support & Case Management Officer The incumbent will work closely with Investigation Officers (IOs) to provide holistic support to scam victims throughout the Restriction Order (RO) period. This role focuses on victim engagement, case management, community collaboration, and the provision of anti-scam education to support victims in their recovery journey and reduce the risk of re-victimisation. Key Responsibilities Victim Engagement & Support Partner with Investigation Officers (IOs) to engage scam victims and maintain comprehensive documentation of all interactions. Explain Restriction Orders (ROs) clearly and sensitively, ensuring victims understand the purpose, requirements, and processes involved. Build trust and rapport with victims through regular engagement, providing a safe and supportive environment for open discussions about their experiences. Deliver anti-scam education and practical guidance on safeguarding personal information, securing financial accounts, and recognising potential scam threats. Support victims in rebuilding confidence and resilience while encouraging appropriate protective measures against future scams. Facilitate referrals to relevant social service agencies and community partners to ensure victims receive suitable support and assistance. Plan and participate in engagement activities that promote recovery, strengthen therapeutic relationships, and provide positive social experiences. Coordinate and facilitate mid-point case conferences with internal stakeholders and external agencies to review case progress and adjust intervention plans where necessary. Monitor victims for signs of ongoing scam involvement or renewed targeting attempts, escalating concerns in accordance with established protocols. Arrange and coordinate assessment sessions during the RO period, ensuring victims understand the objectives and benefits of the assessments. Facilitate participation in scam victim support groups to encourage peer learning, mutual support, and shared experiences. Develop and maintain partnerships with community agencies and service providers to expand referral networks and enhance available support resources. Case Management Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely case records, including case histories, intervention plans, engagement outcomes, progress assessments, and risk evaluations. Document victims’ emotional well-being, behavioural indicators, risk factors, and key milestones demonstrating increased awareness and recovery progress. Ensure all case documentation complies with departmental standards, policies, and reporting requirements. Track and monitor victims’ progress from initial engagement through case closure, identifying trends and factors that contribute to successful intervention outcomes. Prepare regular case updates, progress reports, and recommendations for supervisors and Investigation Officers to support ongoing case management and decision-making. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated service delivery and effective support for victims throughout their recovery journey. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Criminology, Social Sciences, or a related discipline. Prior experience in case management, victim support, social services, counselling, community outreach, or related fields would be advantageous. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage empathetically with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Ability to build rapport, exercise sound judgment, and manage sensitive or emotionally challenging situations professionally. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail in maintaining case records and preparing reports. Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including investigation officers, community partners, and government agencies.
