Job Description Own technical design and architecture for microservices-based systems Lead code reviews and enforce engineering best practices Mentor engineering team members on cloud deployment and microservices patterns Manage inter-service communication reliability at scale Liaise directly with client stakeholders on technical issues and delivery feedback Evaluate and integrate AI-assisted engineering tooling into team workflows Job Requirements Lead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise-scale applications with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, SQL, and microservices-based distributed systems, applying RESTful API design, security principles, clean architecture, and industry-standard design patterns. Build and optimise high-performance backend platforms using Hibernate/JPA with Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, including complex data modelling, database migration, query optimisation, and transaction management for large-scale enterprise applications. Design resilient cloud-native solutions using AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, EventBridge, S3, ECS, RDS, and CodePipeline, with hands-on experience in Azure/multi-cloud environments, Docker containerisation, and CI/CD automation using Git, GitHub Enterprise, and SonarQube. Develop scalable distributed systems using Kafka messaging, Redis caching, and event-driven architecture patterns to ensure reliable inter-service communication, fault tolerance, and high availability across enterprise microservices platforms, with testing expertise using JUnit and Postman. Provide technical leadership as a Technical Lead/Team Leader with 2+ years of experience owning high-level system design, architecture decisions, code review governance, Agile/Scrum delivery, mentoring engineering teams, and enforcing engineering best practices across multiple enterprise-scale projects. Drive innovation through AI-assisted software engineering practices including MCP server integration, AI coding agents (Claude Code or similar), code/documentation graph indexing, and intelligent automation within the SDLC, while leveraging frontend knowledge (JavaScript, HTML, CSS), cross-cloud experience, domain expertise across industries such as transportation, real estate, e-commerce, or telecom, and relevant certifications including PSM I or AWS/Azure cloud certifications.
