IT Quality Assrance Specialist

Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to join our growing technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and integrity of our software applications and IT infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product managers, to deliver seamless and high-performing digital solutions. Key Responsibilities: Test Design & Strategy: Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios across web and mobile platforms based on business requirements. Test Execution & Defect Management: Conduct functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing. Identify, document, and track software bugs and system anomalies using tools like Jira, ensuring clear reproduction steps for development teams. Test Automation: Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency and accelerate deployment cycles. Backend & API Validation: Perform backend testing, including data integrity validation, database querying (SQL), and API testing to ensure robust system integrations. CI/CD Integration: Assist in integrating quality gates and automated test suites into the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Process Improvement: Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, providing QA insights during sprint planning, and continuously refining the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to mitigate deployment risks. Requirements Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Minimum of 5-7 years of proven hands-on experience in software quality assurance, test engineering, or a similar role. Technical Competencies: Strong proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress). Solid experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and writing relational database queries (SQL). Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab). Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git. Soft Skills & Attributes: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills with a sharp eye for detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively bridge technical gaps between development and business stakeholders. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple testing priorities. Preferred (Optional) Qualifications: Professional certifications such as ISTQB (Certified Tester) are highly advantageous.
