Responsibilities: Customer Engagement & Technical Solutioning Act as the lead technical expert in pre-sales engagements with facilities company, building management system and building owner for smart metering deployments. Conduct detailed site surveys, needs assessments, and gap analyses to understand customer operational and technical requirements. Architect end-to-end smart metering solutions — including AMI head-end systems (HES), meters, communication networks (RF mesh, PLC, cellular), IoTs sensors and MDMS integration. Develop and deliver compelling technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements. Proposal & Tender Management Lead the technical response to RFPs, RFIs, and tenders — producing solution architecture documents, BOMs, technical compliance matrices, and effort estimates. Collaborate with product, engineering, and commercial teams to craft winning proposals that align with customer specifications and commercial targets. Define and document system design specifications, network coverage models, data throughput calculations, and cybersecurity frameworks for submitted bids. Cross-Functional Collaboration Bridge the gap between field sales, product management, software, and delivery/implementation teams to ensure technical feasibility of proposed solutions. Provide structured customer feedback and market intelligence to inform product roadmap decisions and feature prioritisation. Support the post-sale transition by creating detailed handover documentation for delivery and project management teams. Market & Regulatory Intelligence Monitor smart metering regulatory frameworks, standards (IEC 62056 DLMS/COSEM, ANSI C12, EN 13757, G3-PLC), and government mandates across target markets. Track competitor product offerings, technology trends (IoT, edge computing, AI-driven grid analytics), and emerging procurement frameworks. Represent the company at trade exhibitions, technical conferences, and industry forums (e.g., DistribuTECH, Metering Europe). Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Systems, or a closely related discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in smart metering, AMI, energy management, or related utility/electrical technology sectors. Hands-on experience with smart meter hardware (single-phase and three-phase electricity meters) and metering communication protocols (DLMS/COSEM, OBIS, MBUS). Strong knowledge of AMI network communication technologies: RF mesh (e.g., LoRaWan, NB-IoT, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Sigfox, BLE and Wire-Pas), PLC (G3-PLC, PRIME), NB-IoT, LTE-M, and 4G/5G cellular. Proficiency with AMI Head-End Systems (HES), Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS), and integration with billing, OMS, and GIS platforms. Familiarity with cybersecurity standards applicable to smart grids: IEC 62351, NERC CIP, GDPR/data privacy considerations. Experience with power quality analysis, load profiling, revenue protection, and tamper detection in metering deployments. Proven track record supporting successful commercial bids and tender responses in B2B technology sales environments. Ability to create technically rigorous yet commercially persuasive documentation — solution architectures, technical white papers, TCO models. Experience presenting at executive/C-level within utility organisations, demonstrating business value alongside technical depth. Proficiency in data analysis tools (Python, SQL, Power BI) for system performance modelling and pilot evaluation. EA Personnel Name: Jackie Ng EA Personnel No: R22109024 EA License No: 95C5411
