Food Operations Team Lead

About the role We're looking for a hands-on Food Operations Team Lead to manage day-to-day food prep, quality control, and logistics. You'll lead a team of part-time workers, plan daily schedules, and help improve our recipes and processes over time. This role suits someone who's equally comfortable in the kitchen, behind the wheel, and managing a small team. A Class 3 license is preferred here since you'll be moving food and supplies between the kitchen and machine sites. Scope of Work: Food Prep & Quality • Prepare food for daily machine loading, checking quality of ingredients and flag/fix issues before they reach the machine • Maintain hygiene and food safety standards throughout prep and handling Team Leadership • Lead and coordinate a team of part-time loaders • Plan shifts and loading schedules • Train part-timers on prep, handling, and loading procedures Logistics & Driving • Drive food and supplies between the central kitchen/prep site and machine locations (Class 3 License preferred) • Manage load timing so machines are restocked with fresh product at the right intervals throughout the day Planning • Plan the day-to-day loading and shift plan across machines • Anticipate demand patterns (peak-hours, high-footfall days) and adjust loading frequency accordingly R&D • Contribute to recipe improvement testing tweaks for taste Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology or in any related field • Comfortable with physical work and a fast-paced environment • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Preferably a valid Class 3 Driving License (or equivalent preferred)
