Key Responsibilities Fire Safety Lead the development and implementation of the organisation's Fire Safety Management Plan. Review building designs to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, including fire protection systems, evacuation routes, smoke control, and compartmentation. Partner with consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities to facilitate approvals and ensure seamless project delivery. Organise fire drills, training programmes, and awareness initiatives to strengthen fire safety readiness. Develop and maintain fire safety policies aligned with operational requirements. Workplace Safety Drive workplace safety initiatives that support safe, sustainable, and compliant operations. Review facility layouts and operational workflows to minimise workplace risks and enhance safety. Promote ergonomic and safe working environments across key operational areas. Ensure appropriate implementation of safety controls, signage, barriers, and fall prevention measures. Develop and implement workplace safety policies in line with regulatory standards and industry best practices. Emergency Preparedness Support the planning and execution of emergency preparedness strategies across the organisation. Review infrastructure plans to strengthen emergency response capabilities, including evacuation routes, command centres, backup systems, and critical communications. Collaborate with project and facilities teams to incorporate resilience into infrastructure planning. Assist in developing, reviewing, and testing emergency response plans to enhance organisational readiness. Regulatory & Stakeholder Management Work closely with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure safety compliance and licensing requirements are achieved. Maintain comprehensive compliance documentation to support operational readiness and regulatory approvals. Provide expert guidance on safety, compliance, and risk management throughout project development and operations. Requirements Certified Fire Safety Manager registered with SCDF. Workplace Safety & Health Officer registration is advantageous. Degree in any discipline with extensive experience managing fire safety, workplace safety, and compliance within healthcare facilities. Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations, workplace safety standards, building codes, and emergency preparedness frameworks. Demonstrated experience managing regulatory compliance and engaging multiple stakeholders. Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills. Able to manage multiple priorities independently in a dynamic environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat, with confidence in learning new digital systems. Meticulous, organised, proactive, and able to exercise sound judgement when handling sensitive matters.
