Contract Lab Analyst, Water #Hjo

Job Responsibilities: Perform manual laboratory testing on water, wastewater, and crude samples Handle and process wastewater samples, including sour water samples containing elevated levels of H₂S and ammonia, in accordance with safety procedures. Ensure proper usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to laboratory safety protocols. Manage day-to-day laboratory operations independently, including inventory control, chemical management, purchasing, and stock monitoring. Maintain laboratory cleanliness, housekeeping standards, and ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained. Develop, review, and maintain laboratory SOPs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures. Monitor laboratory consumables and coordinate replenishment activities to support uninterrupted operations. Ensure all laboratory users adhere to established safety standards and best practices. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency and effectiveness. Maintain accurate testing records, documentation, and reports. Perform other laboratory-related duties and projects as assigned. Requirements: Diploma in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. Relevant experience in water, wastewater, or environmental testing is preferred. Able to adapt to operational demands and varying sample volumes.
