About this role
You will be developing and implement hospital-based education program to advance and improve nursing professional practice and this will include to Obtain accreditation required to conduct the various types of training. A little about you and what we seek to accomplish together: Training and Education Conduct training needs analysis to determine skills / knowledge gap Plan, develop, co-ordinate / conduct orientation and in-house training / education program and evaluate effectiveness of training program Source for external learning opportunities; facilitate / organize conferences, seminars and workshops. Guide and advise clinical instructors/preceptors regarding nursing students and staff competencies matters. Support the Nurse Manager in investigating ward incidents pertaining to nursing students. Support the Nurse Manager to maintain consistent compliance in standards of patient. Providing supervision to all grades of nurses, including trainee nurses. Identifying skills and knowledge deficits in nursing care delivery. Assessing skills competency. Plan and coordinate with Nurse Manager and Nurse Clinician to identify staff for advanced/specialized staff development, e.g. Advanced diplomas, (Community Care Manpower Development Awards (CCMDA) etc. Maximize training budget to achieve maximal utilization for staff education and development. Market training program to external organizations. Coordinate clinical placements for nursing students, and request for attachments from external organizations. Clinical Practices and Standards Serve as a role model in clinical practices and standards. Uphold nursing standards and care practices through monitoring practices. Work with Nurse Clinician to develop audit tools to monitor nursing care practices. Assist in emergency situations involving patient care. Nursing Research Strengthen the link between clinical nursing and research. Critically review research articles, communicate and apply significant findings to their areas of practice. Encourage nurses to identify research questions, participate in research and apply findings to practice. Accreditation Assist reporting officer in preparing, submitting and obtaining the accreditation. Work with reporting officer to strategize and plan for the development of the department based on organizational needs. What you might need to have: Degree in Nursing or a post basic qualification in Education, or Clinical Specialty. Registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board. WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) At least 7 years in clinical care.
