The Company We are partnering with a leading international legal firm to hire a Financial Controller based in Singapore. This is a high-impact regional role reporting directly to the CFO, APAC, offering the opportunity to shape financial strategy while leading a lean, high-performing team. The Role As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the firm’s financial management across the Singapore office, ensuring robust financial governance and partnering with regional stakeholders to drive performance. You will also play a key role in collaborating with global shared services teams to ensure operational efficiency and alignment. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Accounting • Oversee full spectrum of financial accounting and statutory reporting in compliance with local and international standards • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes • Manage external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and local regulators Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis • Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles • Provide insightful financial analysis and business partnering support to senior stakeholders • Monitor financial performance against budgets and recommend corrective actions Cash Flow & Treasury • Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital optimization • Oversee treasury operations, including banking relationships and liquidity management Shared Services & Process Optimization • Liaise closely with overseas shared services teams to ensure service quality and efficiency • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and strengthen internal controls Team Leadership • Lead, mentor, and develop a lean finance team in Singapore • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture aligned with the firm’s values Your Profile As the successful candidate, you will possess the following relevant skills sets and experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA) preferred • Ideally trained in a Big 4 audit firm with strong technical accounting foundation • Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role • Prior exposure to professional services, consulting, technology, media, or legal sectors is highly preferred • Strong understanding of statutory reporting, financial controls, and regulatory compliance • Experience working with shared services models and regional/global stakeholders • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrix environment Why Join • Opportunity to work within a reputable international legal firm • Strategic regional exposure with direct interaction with APAC leadership • Autonomy to drive improvements and shape finance operations • Collaborative and professional working environment Apply Today Please send your resume, in WORD format only and quote reference number STE12034702, by clicking the apply button.
