The Company We are seeking a commercially-minded Financial Analyst with commodities experience to support finance operations across payment processing, invoicing, and transaction controls. This role sits at the heart of the marketing finance function, owning key transactional and reporting processes while partnering closely with Risk, Treasury, Shared Services and the broader Finance team. The Role • Own and continuously improve the ITP (Invoice to Pay) and ITC (Invoice to Cash) processes end-to-end: Payments to and from vendors and customers, invoicing, payment review and approval, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded within the company's financial controls and accounting policies. • Apply a strong understanding of the commodity marketing value chain to ensure transactions, controls and reporting reflect the realities of the business. • Drive core Finance Reporting activities: month-end tasks, reconciliations, and accurate reporting of transactions, working within established financial controls. • Partner with Risk, Treasury, Shared Services and the wider Finance team to build, implement and maintain robust controls and well-documented processes. • Design and optimise how transaction information is communicated to Shared Services, minimising manual intervention. • Monitor the ITC and ITP processes for issues, take a proactive approach to resolving them, and keep stakeholders informed on payment status. • Proactively identify the information the business needs, and build processes to capture the data that supports commercial decisions and new initiatives. • Support audit and controls-related activities, including sampling for external audit. • Partner with IT/systems teams to implement technology that strengthens control, increases data availability, and automate transactional work, freeing up the team to focus on higher-value activities. • Help define user requirements and manage UAT as new finance systems are introduced, ensuring accounting logic and controls are properly reflected. Your Profile • Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting • Minimum 5 years of experience, prior experience in commodities trading, energy, metals, agriculture, or related sectors is strongly preferred. • Strong understanding of financial controls and accounting principles • Experience working with SAP is a strong plus. • Advanced Excel skills: exposure to automation or reporting tools is a plus. • Hands-on exposure to payments, invoicing, receivables, and payables processes Apply Today Please send your resume, in WORD format only and quote reference number GO13475051, by clicking the apply button.
