Staff Engineer, Electronics Engineer

Essential Functions: - Contribute to thearchitecture, design, and implementation planning/roadmap of product linestrategies. - Keep abreast of knowledge onwhat technology is available, internal within Rockwell organization and as welldifferent current and latest technologies from different suppliers, pro andcons for adoption to satisfy customer requirements, product and project cost,and short-/long-term viability of technology. - Leads the creation ofrequirements for system and/or products. Translate product requirements to technical requirements. - Lead and define designspecification and specific test & validation requirements forproducts/platforms, especially for critical parameters, worst case conditions. - Define changes totest/simulation system methodologies in a way that improves functionality,efficiency with consideration to backward compatibility and reference to priorproducts standards, limits, and customer expectation. - Make decisions based on theright set of business and/or technical drivers. Explain yourreasoning/rationale behind decisions to gain acceptance and buy-in. MinimumQualifications · Bachelor’sdegree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering · Minimum10~12 years of experience in hardware / product development, including minimum5 years of technical leadership design experience from conceptual till productrelease. · Possessstrong technical knowledge and demonstrate through work experience in thefollowing areas: · Microprocessor/Microcontrollersystem design with preferably ARM processors · Memorysystem designs, including memory buses, different memory types, diagnostics. · Communicationprotocol interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet (MII, SGMII, RGMMI). · Powersupply circuit · Digital,Analog IO Design (Isolated and non-Isolated) · Goodknowledge in the implementation of protection and diagnostic interface forinputs and outputs · Experience inhigh-speed design, including board layout techniques to achieve best solutionsin meeting product requirements, product cost and size. · Strong in analysisGood experience in Signal Integrity, Power Integrity and Timing Analysis forDigital Electronic Circuits · Knowledge in design and validation requirements to meet the regulatorycompliance, environment and safety regulatory certification (e.g. UL/cUL, CE,TUV) · Experience in power,energy, thermal calculations in design and analysis. · Good knowledge in usingPCB Design Tools, Circuit Simulation tools. · Experiencedin both local and global technical development team environments. · Abilityto adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements. DesiredQualifications - Knowledge in IndustrialAutomation products, especially in designing products for industrial I/O(digital / analog / communication) products. - Have past experiences indeveloping products according to IEC 61508. § Experience in designing hardware productsaccording to IEC 61131, IEEE 802.3 specifications.
