We are looking for an Operations Support Engineer to oversee the governance, maintenance, and operational support of enterprise smart systems, ensuring high availability, security compliance, and adherence to Government ICT standards. Job Type: Contract Salary Package: Up to $5800 (basic) + AWS Key Responsibilities Oversee vendors and maintenance partners to ensure operations and maintenance activities comply with contractual obligations, operational requirements, and security standards. Monitor system health, availability, and operational performance to ensure business continuity. Track security patching, vulnerability assessment findings, and remediation activities to maintain a secure environment. Manage software licences, digital certificates, and subscription renewals to ensure uninterrupted operations. Review system, application, and security logs to identify operational issues and potential security incidents. Monitor End-of-Support (EOS) and End-of-Life (EOL) timelines, supporting technology refresh and lifecycle planning. Support ICT risk assessments and maintain system risk registers. Administer user accounts, perform periodic access reviews, and maintain account governance. Review vendors' monthly maintenance reports, ensuring compliance with agreed SLAs, KPIs, and operational standards. Ensure standardised maintenance documentation, templates, and reporting practices are followed. Coordinate and support change management activities, including reviewing, tracking, and following up on Change Requests. Assist in system decommissioning activities, including data retention, documentation, and contract closure. Work closely with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to drive continuous operational improvements and governance compliance. Requirements Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. At least 3 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure support, systems administration, or operations governance. Experience supporting enterprise applications, infrastructure, IoT/IIoT systems, video management systems, or other mission-critical platforms. Good understanding of:IT Operations and Maintenance processesIncident, Problem, Change, and Configuration ManagementIT security governance and vulnerability managementSystem lifecycle management (EOS/EOL)User access management and account administration Experience reviewing operational reports, maintenance records, and vendor performance against SLAs. Familiarity with Government ICT security standards, governance frameworks, or regulated environments will be an advantage. Strong coordination, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Able to work independently while managing multiple operational activities concurrently. Preferred Skills ITIL Foundation or equivalent IT Service Management certification. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and vulnerability management. Experience working with vendors and outsourced maintenance teams. Exposure to cloud platforms, Windows/Linux servers, networking, or enterprise monitoring tools is advantageous.
