Backend Engineer (Node.Js)

Location: Braddell (Hybrid) Job Type: Contract (Renewable basis) Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Node.js. Build and integrate RESTful APIs with internal and external systems. Develop and deploy containerised microservices using Docker and AWS ECS/EKS. Manage and optimise relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL. Ensure applications comply with IM8, SHIP-HATS 2.0, and secure software development practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle, from development to production support. Requirements Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Min. 7 years of working experience developing backend applications using Node.js. Hands-on experience with RESTful API development and system integration. Experience building and deploying Docker-based microservices on AWS ECS/EKS. Experience working with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases. Familiarity with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and Git version control. Knowledge of IM8, SHIP-HATS 2.0, or experience delivering Singapore Government projects is an advantage. Strong problem-solving, communication, and debugging skills.
