Overview: We are seeking a motivated Engineer to join SETSCO’s Electrical and Electronics team, supporting testing, inspection, and certification activities for a wide range of electrical and electronic products. In this role, you will work closely with clients, laboratories and technical teams to deliver high-quality compliance services, support market access, and help ensure products meet applicable safety and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct testing, design reviews, and product assessments to evaluate compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements. • Define project scope, review technical specifications, understand client requirements, and plan testing activities to ensure smooth and timely project execution. • Interpret and apply relevant IEC, EN, SS, and other applicable standards and regulatory requirements for electrical and electronic products. • Review test plans, test setups, and test results to ensure technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant standards and internal procedures. • Prepare accurate technical reports, test summaries, and certification-related documentation while maintaining high standards of quality and technical integrity. • Serve as a key technical contact for clients by providing professional guidance on testing, inspection, certification, regulatory requirements, and compliance pathways. • Liaise with certification bodies, regulatory agencies, and relevant stakeholders to support product assessments, certification or regulatory approval submissions, project follow-up, and timely closure. • Monitor updates to standards and regulatory requirements and assess their impact on ongoing projects, clients, and internal processes. • Ensure compliance with laboratory quality systems, safety procedures, and accreditation requirements applicable to testing and inspection activities. • Coordinate test scheduling and planning, equipment readiness, and report turnaround to support efficient service delivery. • Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing to the enhancement of test methods, procedures, technical workflows, and laboratory capabilities. • Act as Project Handler or Reviewer by coordinating project administration, monitoring timelines, and working closely with technicians and relevant teams to ensure efficient delivery. • Carry out other duties and assignments as directed by the supervisor. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related discipline. • Relevant experience in electrical safety testing, design assessment, inspection, certification, or product compliance for electrical and electronic products will be an advantage. • Good knowledge of IEC, EN, SS, or other relevant product safety, testing, and compliance standards. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical requirements, investigate issues, and recommend practical solutions. • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in managing client interactions and cross-functional coordination professionally. • Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively, prioritise tasks, and deliver work within agreed timelines. • Strong report writing skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality in technical documentation. • Familiarity with laboratory quality systems, testing processes, or accreditation requirements will be an advantage. • A proactive team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong sense of responsibility.
