Sales & Marketing Officer (Microbiological/Food Chemistry) Job Scope & Responsibilities We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven professional who excels at identifying opportunities and turning ideas into measurable success. In this role, you will play a key part in driving business growth—developing new prospects, building strong client relationships, and expanding our market presence through strategic initiatives. The role involves both commercial and technical coordination to support sales growth in Microbiology and Food Chemistry Services. Key Responsibilities · Identify and develop new business opportunities, converting prospects into long-term customers. · Grow market share by promoting and selling the company’s services to both new and existing clients. · Negotiate commercial terms, prepare agreements, and successfully close sales opportunities. · Manage and resolve pre-contract and post-contract commercial matters. · Prepare proposals, quotations, and tender submissions as part of the formal bidding process. · Work closely with administrative, operations and technical teams to ensure service delivery · Conduct market research to assess competitors, identify customer needs, and develop effective pricing and positioning strategies. · Monitor industry developments, market trends, and emerging business opportunities. · Support branding and promotional activities (e.g. exhibitions, roadshows), and prepare marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, and content · Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all business dealings. · Provide regular reports to management on sales activities and pipeline. · Carry out any other responsibilities and duties assigned by management. Requirements, Qualifications & Preferred Background · Minimum Diploma in related field, with experience in Sales and/or Marketing · Strong background in microbiology and food chemistry will be an advantage · Experience in quotation preparation, tender submission, and contract coordination · Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA (Sales / Quotation module) is an advantage · Good understanding of coordination with Operations, QA/QC and other internal departments · Strong communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills · Able to work independently and manage multiple quotations and tenders simultaneously · Willing to attend regular client meetings and site visits · Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
