Job Summary The Business Director is responsible for driving the company's business growth, overseeing strategic planning, and ensuring the achievement of revenue and profitability targets. The role provides leadership across business development, client relationships, commercial operations, and cross-functional collaboration to support the company's long-term objectives. Key Responsibilities Business Strategy & Growth Develop and execute business strategies to achieve the company's growth objectives. Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion initiatives. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to support strategic decision-making. Drive revenue growth while ensuring sustainable profitability. Business Development Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders. Lead negotiations for commercial agreements and strategic partnerships. Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and acquire new clients. Represent the company at industry events, networking sessions, and business meetings. Financial & Commercial Management Develop and manage annual business plans and budgets. Monitor financial performance, including revenue, profit margins, and operational costs. Review business performance against KPIs and implement corrective actions where necessary. Ensure commercial decisions align with company objectives. Leadership & People Management Lead, mentor, and develop department managers and team members. Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and customer-focused culture. Support succession planning, talent development, and employee engagement. Ensure effective communication across departments. Operations & Governance Work closely with operations teams to ensure service delivery meets client expectations. Review and improve business processes for greater efficiency and productivity. Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations. Manage business risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Stakeholder Management Maintain strong relationships with customers, government agencies, vendors, and business partners. Prepare and present business reports to senior management and the Board where required. Act as a key representative of the company in strategic discussions. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline. MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage. Minimum 10 years of business management or commercial leadership experience. Proven track record in business development and revenue growth. Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing senior stakeholders. Strong commercial acumen and strategic planning experience.
