Job Summary Sil Bright Construction Pte Ltd seeks a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs from tender to final account, ensuring budget adherence and contractual compliance while collaborating with project teams and stakeholders. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates, tender submissions, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and budget reports to support project financial planning Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms Draft subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and contract documentation to formalize procurement and contractual arrangements Monitor and control project costs throughout execution to ensure adherence to budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities Prepare progress claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts to accurately reflect project financial status Assess and certify subcontractor payment claims to validate work completion and compliance with contract terms Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify cost implications and contractual requirements Maintain accurate records of project costs, contracts, and commercial correspondence for audit and reporting purposes Attend site and commercial meetings to coordinate cost-related matters and resolve contractual issues Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams on contractual and commercial matters to facilitate project delivery Identify potential commercial risks and recommend mitigation strategies to protect project interests Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures, and relevant industry regulations to uphold standards Support project teams in achieving project objectives by providing timely commercial advice and cost management insights Perform other duties as assigned by Management to contribute to overall business goals Preferred competencies and qualifications Experience in building construction, landed residential, addition & alteration (A&A), or interior fit-out projects Proficiency with quantity surveying software such as Cubicost, CostX, Glodon, or equivalent Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills demonstrated in project cost management Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications accurately Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Responsible, organised, and capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
