Key Responsibilities Project Management Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects from concept through commissioning and handover. Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans. Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are achieved. Manage project risks and implement mitigation measures. Prepare project documentation, reports, and completion records. Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within approved budgets. Engineering & Technical Support Design and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality. Support installation, testing, commissioning, and qualification of new production equipment and utility systems. Review engineering drawings, layouts, piping & instrumentation diagram, and technical specifications. Conduct feasibility studies and recommend engineering solutions. Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams. Maintenance & Reliability Support equipment reliability improvement initiatives. Participate in root cause analysis for equipment failures. Recommend modifications to improve machine performance and reduce downtime. Coordinate with the Maintenance team during equipment shutdowns and installations. Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance Ensure engineering projects comply with: Singapore Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations. Food safety standards including GMP, HACCP, and FSSC 22000 (where applicable). Environmental regulations and company sustainability initiatives. Ensure hygienic equipment design and installation suitable for food manufacturing environments. Support internal and external audits. Contractor& Vendor Management Source and evaluate contractors, suppliers, and engineering service providers. Prepare technical specifications and review quotations. Supervise contractors to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project requirements. Verify completed work before acceptance. Documentation Maintain engineering drawings and equipment documentation. Prepare SOPs, work instructions, risk assessments, and commissioning reports. Ensure accurate project filing and document control. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce operating costs. Support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Recommend energy-saving and sustainability projects. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline. Minimum 3-5 years of project engineering experience, preferably in the food, flavour, beverage, pharmaceutical, or FMCG manufacturing industry. Experience managing CAPEX projects in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of food processing equipment and hygienic plant design is an advantage. Knowledge & Skills Strong project management and planning skills. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and utility systems (steam, chilled water, compressed air, HVAC, process water). Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, and food manufacturing regulations. Understanding of Singapore WSH legislation and risk management practices. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, piping & instrumentation diagram, and technical specifications. Experience with AutoCAD or similar engineering software is an advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and stakeholder management abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and project management software.
