About this role

Mission The Senior Communications Solution Architect is a critical post-sales strategic lead dedicated to the Singapore market. You will act as the technical authority ensuring that Enterprise Solutions—encompassing Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE) core technologies—are deployed with architectural integrity, security, and high reliability. Your mission is to bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical execution, ensuring the success of both Business Partner-led and Direct Touch projects. Main Responsibilities Strategic Design & Analysis Infrastructure Auditing: Review and analyze existing customer communications ecosystems (Legacy PBX, IP, or Hybrid) to assess their readiness for digital transformation and cloud migration. Target State Architecture: Propose specific strategies to align communications infrastructure with corporate and Singapore Government (Smart Nation) objectives, focusing on High Availability and Disaster Recovery. Solution Conceptualization: Develop high-level and low-level designs (HLD/LLD) using a mix of ALE products (OXE, OpenTouch, Rainbow) and third-party integrations to deliver bespoke end-to-end solutions. Technical Consultation & Delivery Support Technical Authority: Act as the lead Subject Matter Expert (SME) during the post-sales and implementation phases to resolve complex architectural bottlenecks. Product Enhancements: Interface directly with the ALE Product House (Comms Business Unit) to raise Product Enhancement Requests (PER) for critical feature gaps identified during deployment. Financial Value Articulation: Develop and deliver technical presentations that translate architecture into ROI/TCO narratives for C-suite stakeholders. Ecosystem & Partner Enablement Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead efforts across services, product specialists, and R&D to ensure the consistency of final deployed solutions. POC Ownership: Conduct and supervise Proof of Concept (POC) environments, demonstrating the interoperability of ALE solutions with existing customer workflows. Partner Mentorship: Share expertise to uplift the technical capabilities of ALE Business Partners (VARs/System Integrators) in Singapore. Competencies & Experience Technical Expertise ALE Mastery: Deep architectural knowledge of the Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise portfolio, specifically OmniPCX Enterprise (OXE), OmniVista, OpenTouch, and Rainbow (UCaaS/CPaaS). Contact Center Specialist: Proven experience in designing and deploying complex Contact Center solutions (ALE OmniTouch CC or Genesys integrations). Network & Security: Strong understanding of SIP Trunking, SBCs, VoIP security protocols, and integration with 802.1x network environments. Certifications: ACPS (Alcatel-Lucent Certified Professional Specialist) level or equivalent is mandatory. ACSE (Expert) level is highly preferred. Professional Skills Solution Sales Acumen: Ability to support offer preparation and project definition with a focus on business outcomes rather than just technical features. Crisis Management: Capability to work under pressure during high-stakes deployments or system outages, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. Communication: Exceptional English verbal and written skills, with a focus on writing clear, professional technical documentation and proposals. Profile Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Overall Experience: 20+ years in customer-facing technical roles (Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, or Senior Consulting). Domain Expertise: 10+ years of dedicated architecture experience in the conceptualization and implementation of: Enterprise Voice/VoIP (IP-PBX), Omni-channel Contact Centers (Voice, Email, Chat), Unified Communications & Collaboration (UC&C), Cloud Transition (Private, Public, and Hybrid Cloud models) Market Knowledge: Solid understanding of the Singapore enterprise landscape, including local regulatory requirements and competitive vendor alternatives. Functional Competencies Accountability: Takes full ownership of the architectural integrity of a project from post-sale handoff to final acceptance. Innovation: Constantly seeks new "Use Case" drivers to improve customer business processes through ALE technology.
