Job Description: 1. Reporting Structure Reports to the Lead, Events and Tournaments, or such other officer(s) as may be designated by the Chief Executive Officer. 2. Tournament Support Provide secretariat support for SBA-organized or sanctioned tournaments / events. Actively drive the SBA’s tournament sub-committee’s work processes to ensure effective collaboration, timely delivery, budget compliance, and achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs). Liaise with the BWF, Referee, Deputy Referee, Tournament Director, and Technical Manager on all technical and operational matters relating to sanctioned tournaments, including player entries, rankings, draws, seeding, and tournament schedules. To coordinate with SBA appointed Event Management Company (EMC) on all logistics, personnel deployment and operational matters to ensure the smooth implementation of events. Work closely with the Marketing Team to ensure all commercial signage, including A-signs, billboards, banners, and other branded display, comply with approved guidelines, layouts, and tournament requirements. To ensure the provision and proper wearing of sponsor-approved attire by all officials and event personnel. To liaise with sponsors for shuttlecocks of various speeds, after consulting Technical Manager. To ensure the timely publication of tournament schedules and results across designated online platforms. 3. Technical Officials Administration Assist to administer policies relating to Technical Officials, including accreditation, training, funding, and local and overseas deployments. Maintain and administer the Technical Officials registry, database, and records, ensuring information is accurate, complete, and up to date. Coordinate Technical Officials' training programmes, accreditation courses, and professional development opportunities. Coordinate the nomination and deployment of Technical Officials for local sanctioned tournaments and overseas training or tournament appointments in liaison with BWF and other affiliated stakeholders. Facilitate Technical Officials recruitment, appointment, and development processes to ensure effectiveness, transparency, and sustainability. Communicate and disseminate timely information to Technical Officials on training courses, accreditation matters, tournament appointments, and other relevant updates. 4. Volunteer Management Coordinate volunteer requirements for events and liaise with SportSG on the deployment of Team Nila volunteers. Develop volunteer deployment plans, including schedules, roles and responsibilities, reporting arrangements, deployment locations and volunteer entitlements. Administer volunteer-related documentation, records and communications to support effective event operations. Prepare volunteer work plans and budgets in support of event requirements. Coordinate volunteer briefings, training and orientation to ensure volunteers are adequately prepared for their assigned roles. Review and enhance volunteer deployment processes, guidelines and documentation to improve operational effectiveness and volunteer experience. Develop and administer volunteer recognition and appreciation initiatives, including merit and reward programmes. Establish and maintain appropriate volunteer policies, agreements and standard operating procedures where required. 5. Other Duties: As and when assigned by the reporting officer or Chief Executive Officer. Qualifications & Skills Required: Diploma or Degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Business Administration or a related discipline. Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in event management, sports administration, operations or project coordination. Experience working with volunteers, government agencies, National Sports Associations or non-profit organisations is an added advantage. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external parties. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Meticulous, resourceful and able to work independently or in a team environment. Able to work under pressure and adapt to changing operational requirements. Willing to work evenings, weekends and public holidays when required for tournaments and events.
