Head, Advancement Staff | Full-Time | Advancement Dept Role Summary The role of Head, Advancement at Singapore Bible College (SBC) is pivotal to the institution’s long-term financial health and its ability to fulfil its mission of theological education and service. This role is not only a fundraiser but a strategic partner in advancing SBC’s mission to equip servant-leaders for the church and society, emphasising stewardship, transparency and innovation in resource development, leads and implements a comprehensive, sustainable advancement strategy to secure the financial resources needed for SBC’s mission: To glorify God by training faithful servants of Jesus Christ to edify the body of Christ and to make disciples of all nations. The role is responsible for developing and executing fundraising initiatives, cultivating donor relationships and collaborating across departments to ensure SBC remains a financially sustainable, leading Asian institution for Christian postgraduate theological education. Designation : Head, Advancement Location : Singapore Domain & Department : Advancement Dept Employment Type : Full-time Contract Report to : Principal Work hours per week : 40 hours Key Responsibilities Strategic Fund Development Develop, implement and regularly review a multi-year advancement strategy targeting key financial priority such as reserves, general operations, student scholarships, major capital projects and new programme initiatives Set and achieve annual fundraising goals aligned with the College’s budget and Board-approved priorities, including addressing current shortfalls and emerging needs Diversification and Innovation in Fundraising Research and pursue new funding streams, including corporate partnerships, foundation grants, major donor campaigns and revenue-generating educational initiatives Innovate fundraising approaches in response to market trends, donor preferences and digital opportunities Donor Cultivation and Stewardship Build, nurture and expand a robust network of donors, alumni, churches and institutional partners through personalised engagement, regular communication and recognition programs Develop and implement systems for annual and capital gift cultivation, appeals and stewardship, ensuring impactful reporting and transparent use of funds Donor Data Management and Analysis Utilise donor data and market research to segment audiences Personalise communications, identify major gift prospects, and optimise fundraising campaigns Strategic Communication and Brand Advocacy Collaborate with Communications Dept to develop compelling narratives, multimedia content and campaigns that articulate SBC’s distinctiveness, needs and impact Represent SBC at events, in media and through digital channels as a passionate advocate for its mission and vision Community Engagement Work closely with Business/Finance, Academic Affairs, IT Services, Library Services and other departments to understand financial needs, track progress on funded projects, and ensure transparent reporting to donors and stakeholders Participate actively in SBC’s community life, fostering a culture of giving and partnership among faculty, staff, students and alumni Pre-Requisites Attributes Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident (PR) Demonstrates ability to design and execute multi-year fundraising strategies aligned with SBC’s mission, vision and evolving financial needs Matured, biblically grounded in faith and has personal integrity serving as a role model and ambassador for SBC’s values and ethos Agile in responding to changing economic, technological and donor landscapes Spirituality Demonstrate a mature, biblically grounded faith in Holy Trinity Engage in ongoing spiritual growth through regular Scripture meditation and prayer with a strong supportive community Show commitment to integrating biblical principles into operations Model a Christ-centred approach to mentoring team members Apply biblical wisdom and values in decision-making in…
