Job Summary You will support ophthalmologists by assisting with treatment room procedures, conducting basic eye evaluations and investigations, managing patient registration and scheduling, and handling administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations. Responsibilities Assist ophthalmologists with treatment room procedures such as incision and curettage, pterygium surgery, and laser treatments to support patient care Conduct basic ophthalmic evaluations including vision checks and airpuff intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements to aid diagnosis Perform ophthalmic investigations like biometry, visual field tests, OCT, and fundus photography to provide diagnostic data Manage patient counter duties by registering and discharging patients efficiently to maintain clinic flow Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate procedure bookings such as surgeries and laser treatments to optimize patient care timelines Handle administrative tasks including requesting insurance coverage and processing insurance claims and payments to support clinic financial operations Would be useful (but not essential) to have some experience in the eye clinic
