[Contract position] Job Description: SINDA is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across the Partnerships, Volunteer Management and Ground Engagement portfolios. This role is responsible for translating organisational priorities into impactful community initiatives, strengthening strategic partnerships, developing a sustainable volunteer ecosystem, and supporting SINDA's mission of serving the Indian community in Singapore. As the second-in-command within the department, the Senior Manager will lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee complex cross-functional initiatives, build strategic stakeholder relationships, and champion continuous improvement and innovation across the department. The incumbent will also support the Deputy Director in organisational planning, governance, transformation efforts, and strategic decision-making. Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Leadership • Support the divisional Head in developing and implementing departmental strategies aligned with SINDA's organisational priorities • Drive long-term planning and transformation initiatives across the department • Review and enhance operational frameworks, governance processes and service delivery models • Identify emerging community trends and recommend new engagement strategies • Lead departmental planning, budgeting and resource allocation • Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives 2. Leadership & People Management • Provide leadership and direction to the Partnerships, Volunteer Management and Ground Engagement teams • Coach and develop team leads and staff to build capability and leadership depth • Foster a high-performing, collaborative and customer-centric team culture • Drive performance management, succession planning and staff development initiatives • Ensure effective manpower planning and resource optimisation across the department 3. Strategic Partnerships • Develop and implement strategies to strengthen partnerships with community organisations, corporate organisations, government agencies, religious institutions and educational partners • Identify new opportunities for collaboration to advance SINDA's mission • Strengthen stakeholder engagement and partnership governance • Negotiate and manage strategic partnership agreements and collaborative initiatives • Represent SINDA at external engagements and strategic platforms 4. Volunteer Management • Lead the strategic development of SINDA's volunteer ecosystem • Develop strategies for volunteer recruitment, capability development, deployment, engagement, recognition and retention • Strengthen volunteer leadership pipelines and corporate volunteering initiatives • Review volunteer management frameworks to enhance volunteer experience and organisational impact • Ensure volunteer programmes support organisational priorities and community needs 5. Ground Engagement & Community Outreach • Lead the planning and execution of SINDA's community engagement strategy through targeted neighbourhood outreach and engagement platforms • Provide strategic oversight of key initiatives including Project Give, Festive Gift Pack, SINDA Bus deployment, community outreach booths, community activations, data-driven neighbourhood engagement and Door Knocking Exercise (DKE) • Utilise community data and insights to develop targeted engagement strategies that improve outreach effectiveness • Strengthen SINDA's visibility and presence within the community through innovative engagement approaches 6. Data Analytics & Project Management • Utilise data analytics and community insights to support evidence-based decision-making and targeted community engagement • Lead cross-functional organisational projects and strategic initiatives • Prepare strategic papers, presentations and reports for Senior Management, Board Committees and external stakeholders • Monitor project outcomes, risks and resource utilisation to ensure successful delivery of organisational objectives 7.
