About this role

The Role The Director, Finance & Corporate Governance is a key member of the senior management team, providing strategic leadership and oversight across Finance, Talent (HR), and Administration within the Chamber. The role safeguards SICC’s institutional integrity, financial sustainability, and people capability, while enabling the Chamber to fulfil its mandate as a trusted, independent convenor for international business, policy dialogue, and member services. Operating in a lean environment, the Director is both strategic and hands-on - serving as a steward of strong governance, transparency, and accountability, and as an enabler of SICC’s multi-year transformation through fit-for-purpose systems, talent, and processes. Key Responsibilities 1. Finance & Financial Stewardship · Provide strategic oversight of SICC and SICCRA financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, and long-term financial sustainability. · Ensure accurate, timely, and transparent financial reporting to Management, Audit Committee, and Board, supported by strong internal controls and governance frameworks. · Oversee audits, statutory compliance, and external providers, including auditors, tax agents, insurers, and bankers. · Identify and capitalise on financing opportunities, including grants, subsidies, and incentives, to support SICC’s programmes and transformation initiatives. 2. Talent & Human Resources Leadership · Drive the people strategy with CEO covering workforce planning, organisation design, and talent development · Oversee end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, performance management, compensation, employee relations, and compliance. · Implement performance-based appraisal and reward frameworks aligned with SICC values. · Advise the CEO and Management on complex people matters, culture, and change management. 3. Administration, Governance & Corporate Services · Oversee corporate administration, facilities and workplace management, office operations, and records governance. · Oversee effective governance processes, including policy administration, regulatory compliance, and adherence to organisational standards. · Strengthen organisational policies, internal controls, enterprise risk management, and business continuity, including vendor and contract oversight. 4. Leadership & Stakeholder Management · Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Management Team, and Board Committees. · Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, lean Corporate Services team. · Represent SICC professionally with external stakeholders and advisors as required. Qualifications & Experience Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related discipline; professional qualifications (e.g. CPA, CA, CFA, HR certifications) preferred. Minimum 12–15 years of progressive experience in corporate services, finance, or general management roles. Proven experience in senior leadership roles covering finance and HR; experience in membership organisations, chambers, non‑profits, or complex service organisations is an advantage. Strong track record strategic financial management, and organisational transformation.
